Joan And Bruce In Window, 48x40" -1990
Up Through The Smoke, 72x48" -2020.
These are the works of William Eckhardt Kohler. The first is work is from what he calls his "observational painting days." The second is his current made in Late April. This move from observational to imaginative still centers around the storytelling. I find both compelling. The current work is capturing a trend in New York painting that focuses on the abstracted figures. I am excited to see this work continue to evolve.
