    This historical 1885 photograph depicts three women doctors who all graduated and each became the first woman from their respective countries to obtain a degree in Western medicine.
    Dated October 10, 1885, the photograph shows Anandibai Joshee , from India, who graduated in 1886, Kei Okami , from Japan, who graduated in 1889, and Sabat Islambooly, from Syria, who graduated in 1890.
