    The transition from day to night is like the Changing of the Guard. Day creatures retire to the safety of their habitat while night critters are waking up and preparing for their routine. As onlookers we can enjoy seeing colors slowly morph from bright to quiet, knowing that an enormous change is going on right before our eyes.
